Digital Restoration of Old Photo Prints

Chances are you have old albums brimming with treasured family photographs, often going back generations.  These albums probably contain some of your most memorable and irreplaceable photos.  Most of these photographs will have one or more problems that may be getting worse over time, such as fading, discoloration, and degradation of the print through tearing, fingerprint damage, and damage from adhesives used to attach prints to old photo albums.  Almost all older photographs can benefit from modern editing techniques, but how do you restore an old photo print using a computer?

That’s where I come in.  Dreams In Bloom Photography now offers photo restoration services!  First, I meet with you to take a look at the photo prints you would like to restore and talk about your specific goals.  Next, I use a very high-resolution scanner to make a detailed digital copy of your original print.  Then, I use state-of-the-art digital photo editing software to breathe new life into your old, faded photos.  Compared to prints, digital copies provide a more durable, fade-free version of your valuable photos.  If you like, I can provide you with brand new prints of your images as well as digital copies.  If you have some photos that you would like me to help restore, please use the Contact link on this website or send an email to mikereynolds.dib.photography@gmail.com.  I look forward to working with you.

Digital Photo Editing

If you have a digital camera, you can take some amazing photos without having to buy film and pay to have it developed.  However, all digital photos can benefit from proper editing to enhance color (hue, saturation, luminance), contrast, exposure, and many other more complex adjustments.  Rates depend on the number of photos and the level of editing you desire.  I also provide photo editing services for other professional photographers who may need outside assistance to get their photos edited before an upcoming deadline.  I look forward to talking with you!
